At Manitou Movie School, one of the major ways we learn is through the creation and completion of projects of many sizes and types: personal projects mainly accomplished by the individual learner; group projects of various sorts directed accordingly; and a greater class project to which all contribute.
Thus at Manitou Movie School, direct hands-on experience is a primary way we learn, whereby at the end of a course or program, tests are essentially replaced with skills, grades are supplanted with tangible projects, and GPAs with portfolios.
On this website we present a number of ongoing projects where we invite students and teachers to join in these co-creative efforts. As you encounter these various bridge-building projects herein, consider what knowledge/skills/interests you might bring to any/all of them.
